Come join your guide on this Upper Antelope Canyon sightseeing midday tour to a spectacular petrified sand dune, created by wind, water and sand, presenting a sculptured masterpiece.

Trips are 90 to 100 minutes long and you will travel in comfort in a 4-wheel drive vehicle or van to the Canyon entrance (20 minute drive each way).  From there, you walk into the Canyon, where you will be at the bottom of the Canyon looking up 130 feet to the top.  Inside the canyon, there is only easy walking on the Canyon floor which is mainly level ground.  You will have 50 to 60 minutes to explore with your guide, photograph or just revel in the beauty.  Your experienced Navajo guide will show you great places to make photographs as you explore this awe-inspiring wonder.  Then, you will need to do a bit of a hike to get back to the vehicle for the trip back to Page, on the southern shore of spectacular Lake Powell.  Please make sure to watch the "Hiking Required" video (link in Tour/Activity Description section below) before ordering.

Please Note:  Individual tour dates often sell out well in advance.  If the time/date your request is no longer available, you will be contacted and provided alternatives to consider.

There are also morning and afternoon tours available year-round.  For that option, please order: Upper Antelope Canyon Sightseeing Tour from Page

COVID-19 Protocol Update

  • Tours are now operating and the Navajo Nation has instilled CDC guidelines until further notice.
  • Masks are required by the Navajo Nation and must be worn throughout the tour; anyone who cannot wear a mask for any reason will have to come back when CDC guidelines have rescinded the mask recommendation.
  • Liability waivers are required to be signed before the tour.
  • Temperature checks will be made for anyone showing symptoms; anyone having a temperature reading higher than 100.4 degrees F will not be allowed on the tour and will not be refunded, unless there is someone on stand-by ready to take the seat(s).
  • Anyone showing signs of Covid-19 will not be allowed on the tour and will not be refunded.
  • If you are not feeling well the night before the tour, you must notify your guide (phone number provided on E-Ticket); the sooner the guide knows, the sooner the seats can be sold to provide you a refund.

Important

  • You must agree to requirements of the tour by answering "Yes" to two specific questions during the ordering process
  • Please make sure to watch this video before booking - Hiking Required
  • All persons need a guaranteed seat (including babies)
  • The ride to the Canyon is partially over the unpaved dry-wash, so persons with recent back surgeries and pregnant women are cautioned against going on this tour
  • All walks into the Canyon must be guided
  • Guides are not allowed to take photos for guests, though they can and will offer advice about photo locations and camera settings
  • No tripods (no matter the size)
  • No selfie sticks
  • No quadcopters
  • Only one backpack is allowed per group/family - NO HUGE BACKPACK CARRIER WITH METAL FRAME - Certainly you have important documents you may want to have with you - but due to this policy, it is suggested you leave your documents locked in your vehicle or in your hotel room with the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. Guides will not tolerate a guest becoming angry at check-in and will refuse to take customers on the tour who get extremely angry over this policy because angry people simply ruin the tour for the rest of the group. No refund will be offered for angry guests!
  • Small fanny packs are OK
  • Bottled water only may be carried into the Canyon using a shoulder sling or a bottle carrier attached to a fanny pack; guides do NOT supply water, so you must bring your own; food is not provided and bringing food is not encouraged because there is nowhere to eat and no time for it, either. Beverages other than water are not allowed.
  • No strollers (they don't work on the soft sand and they take up too much space in the narrow sections of the canyon)
  • No pets or service animals allowed
  • There are no storage locker facilities, so please lock your valuables in your vehicle or leave them secured at your lodging
  • There are no restrooms at the Canyon!
  • Dusty Conditions: The canyon floor is sandy, so guides don't suggest changing your camera lens inside the canyon - the dust can enter your camera; guides, tour operator or their sales agents are not responsible for damaged cameras
  • Arizona does not observe daylight savings time, so make certain you arrive on time - Arizona time!

Not Included

  • Bottled Water
  • Guide Gratuity

More Tour Details

Once the tour arrives at the Canyon, all passengers will unload from the vehicle and walk through the Canyon with the guide/driver.  You must remain with the guide throughout the tour.  The guide will tell you about the Canyon - its geology, history and also help you with camera settings for optimal photographs.  The time in the canyon is controlled by the Navajo Tribe.  Time flies when you are in the Canyon and regulations require that when the time to depart the Canyon is reached, all participants in the group must do so promptly.

At the conclusion of your time within the Canyon, a hike around the Canyon is required to get back to the transport vehicle.  (Please make sure to watch the video provided in the "Hiking Required" link above.)  This travel route back to the parking area has been instituted to hopefully clear up some congestion inside the Canyon.  The length of the total distance walked/hiked during this tour is three-quarters of a mile.  The only exceptions to the new hike back to the parking area are elderly persons and small children.
